Objective

Shirley Ryan 黑料网 is conducting a research study on how robots can be used as rehabilitation tools.

Participants will move a handle connected to a computer-controlled robot and perform tasks in a virtual reality system like a video game.

Who Can Participate

  • Medical diagnosis of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or stroke with primary motor cortex involvement
  • At least 8 months after a stroke
  • Ability to move shoulder and elbow in small ranges
  • First time stroke
  • Capable of performing study tasks and exercises for at least 1 hour

Compensation

Participants will receive financial compensation for each study visit.
